A New Budget 4g Phone With Good Price Itel A80

Welcome to Techie zella! Friends, in the budget segment, very few brands deliver something remarkable. Among them, All is a brand that has both an offline and online presence, though it is more prominent offline. All specializes in selling feature phones, especially in the entry-level category. Recently, All launched a new smartphone, the All Itel A80. Including budget and entry-level options, as many of people's cannot afford high-end devices.  Let’s move ahead and talk about the All A80.

Unboxing Experience

The phone comes in an interesting box featuring Hrithik Roshan on the front. On the back, all features and specifications are listed. One unique offer is free screen replacement within 100 days in case of damage, which is rare in budget phones. Inside the box, you get the phone, a textured quality back case, a 10W adapter, a Type-A to Type-C cable, and a SIM ejector pin.

Design & Build Quality

In terms of design, the phone is available in three colors: Sandstone Black, Glacier White, and Wave Blue. The back has a textured finish with effects, giving it a premium look for its price. The camera bump is negligible, so the phone doesn’t wobble on flat surfaces. It is 8.8mm thick and weighs 192g. The back and frame are made of polycarbonate, and it features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, which is a bonus at this price point. The scanner works efficiently, and the phone’s haptics are decent.

Speakers

The phone has a single speaker with average quality, a single mic, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP54 rating for splash and dust resistance. This means it can handle minor water exposure, a rare feature in this segment.

Notification Light Feature

One standout feature is the ring light on the back, near the camera. It glows for various notifications like calls, low battery, charging, and lock screen alerts. If the phone is kept face down, the light helps in identifying notifications, making it a practical feature for many users.

Display

The phone sports a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS display with a pre-applied screen guard. It features a punch-hole design, which is rare at this price point. The chin is decently sized, and the display is visible outdoors and performs well indoors. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth scrolling and transitions. The display size is ideal for content consumption and social media usage.

Processor

The phone is powered by a T606 chipset, which is balanced for everyday tasks but not meant for gaming. It includes Cortex A75 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and a Mali-G57 GPU. The AnTuTu score is around 150,000, and the CPU throttling performance is decent at 89%. High-graphics games like BGMI and Free Fire are playable at low settings, but casual games run smoothly.

RAM & Storage

With 4GB of RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage, it handles basic tasks and multitasking well. However, it’s important to remember that this is an affordable phone, so it’s better to avoid heavy tasks. Social media usage, YouTube streaming, and other daily tasks are manageable without any issues.

Software & UI

On the software side, it runs Android 13 Go Edition, suitable for lightweight apps. It features All’s custom skin, which includes some pre-installed apps that can be disabled or deleted. The brand has promised two years of security updates. Stock dialer support allows call recording, and the phone promises three years of fluid performance, though this remains to be tested over time.

Camera

The phone comes with a 50MP rear camera capable of shooting Full HD videos at 30fps. The front camera is 8MP and also supports Full HD recording at 30fps. The camera performance is impressive for its price. Colors, dynamic range, and portraits are decent. Selfies are sharp, though they sometimes over-sharpen, but portrait selfies turn out well. Night photography is not recommended due to its budget nature, but overall, the camera delivers good results for the price.

Battery

It packs a 5000mAh battery with a 10W adapter, which takes around 2.5 hours to charge fully. Despite the slow charging, the battery lasts an entire day with moderate usage. Even at 7% battery, it performs well, making it reliable for long-lasting usage.

Connectivity & Sensors

For connectivity, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi calling, Bluetooth 5.0, and FM radio. All essential sensors are included.

Pricing

The phone is priced at ₹6,999 for a single variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. This combination is excellent for the price, as most phones in this range offer only 64GB storage. Features like a 50MP camera, 120Hz display, and a large battery make it a balanced phone. While its performance is adequate for mixed usage, heavy tasks should be avoided.

Conclusion

If you’re looking for a phone under ₹7,000, this is a good option, available both online and offline.
